Don't receive some calls

I had problems with my Apple iPhone 12 with some calls from people not reaching me.  My wife, boss and friends would say they called me and I didn’t answer.  The phone is in my hands, on the desk or car seat and it doesn’t ring.  So I got the iPhone 13 thinking it would work.  Same thing.

Took it to T-Mobile today and they turned off the WiFi.  If that doesn’t work I will probably try a different phone.  Any suggestions on what I might do to fix this/
