Why the FM radio is disabled in US version of Samsung A52? I specifically bought a phone with FM radio chipset, only to find out is disabled in the US firmware.
Samsung A52 has the FM radio cheapset. I thas the aux jack, I have wired head-sets. Why is the FM radio disabled? In case of emergencies, with cell down, how am I going to listen to the news?
Usually, it’s not disabled. Sometimes, it’s the app just isn’t bundled in the US firmware. There are radio apps from the Play Store that might be able to give you FM radio from your device.
The simple answer as my US carriers don’t opt to have this feature enabled in their firmware, is because they would rather you use data, which makes them money. Apple does this as well but actually disables it through the firmware for the US and Canada.
