Can I block calls from an entire area code or specific exchange?

I am receiving several calls per day (3 to 5) but every single day no matter how many times I block the number they simply call from a new one. These are robocalls, political solicitations, and survey types and it is getting intolerable. They do come from only a handful of area codes like Washington DC (202) and some from 771 but some come from a particular exchange within an area code like 715 and only the last 4 digits change each time.  That’s 10,000 calls per exchange which makes me want to just not have a phone at all.  I am already on the "do not call registry".  Anyone know how this can be done?

  • Unfortunately, no.  You can submit a request to have your number placed on the National Do Not Call List, which should start helping eliminate some of those calls after a few months.  Until then, keep blocking each one.

  • Depending on your phone, you may be able to block calls from exchanges or whole area codes. On most Android phones it can be found in the Calls app under Settings.
