Will a Samsung S5 model G900T3 work on T-Mobile in 2022?

I showed it to a guy at another T-Mobile store, he looked at the phone, brought up the IMEI number, typed it in and said the phone is not compatible with T-Mobile???
He said it does not have VoLTE????
But it shows VoLTE <ON> under Call Settings in the keypad or dialing screen?
If it didn’t have VoLTE, then why on earth would there be a switch for it?
