Help! I clicked on a text that was that was suspicious.
Now what can I do? I am scared to use my cell phone. I blocked the number but is that enough?
Clicked on? Like viewed or did you click a link in the text? If you just viewed the text, it more than likely just confirms that someone is using the number to the spammer. If you clicked on a link in the suspicious text and it opened in a browser. Then you might want to reset that browser just in case it is compromised and check your device for any apps that you didn’t install.
yes, shame on me I clicked the link… this one actually pointed to a gas station that I sometimes use but hadn’t recently. In the link was a credit card number that didn’t match mine. SCARY! now I’m on the desktop till I get this sorted out. Thank you for the advice!
Reset the browser … reinstall, yes?
