Calls go straight to voicemail - phone doesn't ring (Samsung S6 on Nougat)

About 2 1/2 weeks ago, I started missing calls because my phone wasn't ringing and calls went straight to voicemail. For some of the calls that come in (including Telemarketers unfortunately)...

    Hey folks! If this is happening when connected to Wi-Fi, please do give us a call so we can a support ticket opened and have our engineers further investigate.

Hello,

I have similar issues with a Samsung J7 Prime.  Incoming calls go to voice mail, but the phone does not ring. Volume is turned, no blocked calls, wifi is working, and the settings have been reset.  The phone used to receive incoming calls and ring about 2 weeks ago, but it has stopped working.  Any suggestions?
