Inability to forward Gmail emails to Tmobile as text message

For many years I was able to forward my gmail mails to my SprintPcs account as a text message. I would receive them promptly and with an audio notification. This is critical to my work. Now that I have been transferred to TMobile I can no longer do so. If I do a test email from my gmail account to TMobile, I get a text notification, but it takes a very long time to receive it, which kills my business.  I have tried changing my gmail account from automatically forwarding messages to Sprint cellphone@messaging.sprintpcs.com to mycellphone@tmomail.net for Tmobile, yet I am not receiving the verification code as a text on my phone. I have tried resending the verification code from my gmail account to TMobile several times with no luck. Please help!  Please don’t tell me I must change cell carriers as this feature is critical to my business and has been for almost a decade.
