Re: T-Mobile ONE "Un-Contract" Price Lock Guarantee | "Re" Carrier - June 2024 Increase Price Increase
Just beware of data de-prioritization on the Visible 25 per month plan. If you are in heavy data/traffic usage areas, your internet will become nearly unusable as Verizon (Visible Network) is awful with de-pri. And you do not get 5g UW on the 25 month plan. If you are ok with both those things, then you’re good.25Views0likes0CommentsRe: Bad coverage near my house and surrounding blocks
+1 on cellmapper.net - it will let you see how close the nearest tower is. If you have an android, Network Cell Info is useful for diagnosing signal quality as well. It shows both the closest tower, and those that are in proximity, that your phone may switch to from time to time.21Views0likes0CommentsRe: tmobile service in middle Tennessee.
What part of middle TN? My service has been fine going through there. I have noticed that T-mobile does seem to have less of a seamless transition going from one tower to another which can temporarily result in “drops”. Was Verizon giving you trouble? Or was it a switch to save money from their high prices? Unless you have a premium plan with Verizon, their data priority management is terrible, making their data and internet nearly useless in higher traffic areas. Hard to save money with Verizon. ATT often times isn’t much better than T-mobile. One thing to consider, if your phone will be capable, is Tmobile is supposed to fill in the gaps with Satellite coverage in the fall (we’ll see).12Views0likes0CommentsRe: Low Band LTE 71 / 5G n71
I have found the t-mobile coverage map to be quite accurate compared to the others. Where it shows no coverage (white) there is definitely no coverage. Not even Band 71 can reach those areas. There are no towers there. One is in an area where they could really use a tower (camping, boating, fishing, large influx of people especially the summer). Band 71 definitely was a difference maker at my house in a rural area. It resulted in a stronger signal than the other carriers and ultimately faster speed likely due to carrier aggregation. Should the Starlink Satellite coverage actually get launched in the fall, we will see those no coverage areas disappear with at least limited text and possibly voice coverage.35Views0likes0Comments
