Re: T-mobile gateway with seperate router
I have a problem with internet connectivity that wasn't resolved by changing Asus router mode. My youngest daughter no longer can connect to her corporate server since switching to new business gateway, 4GSE, using her corporate laptop that uses corp VPN connection; she also has some LAN connectivity issues, i.e., random disconnects. My older daughter, a computer engineer, says changing gateways has changed laptop's IP address, which is not recognized by corporate server's/VPN. Corporate IT only tells my youngest to keep restarting her laptop...to no avail. My oldest says corporate IT needs to reset youngest's corp server/VPN connection so different/new IP address than previous can be used. I'm being yelled at on all sides because all other LAN devices have no issues connecting to internet.101Views0likes0CommentsRe: T-mobile gateway with seperate router
I just switched from home Nokia gateway to newer business 4GSE gateway...and my LAN Asus wi-fi router (with all of my connected network devices, i.e., printer, NAS units, and AIMesh node upstairs) has slowed to a crawl. I did not change any router settings, as speeds with home gateway were pretty good. Internet speeds when connected directly to new gateway's wi-fi was great/super, so I was hoping my router wasn't coincidentally (and suspiciously) "dying." This was my last desperate attempt to find solution to my speed problems...so thank you. But to clarify your sequence details, you downloaded the Device Discovery Utility before(?) you saved in AP Mode, saved AP Mode, then installed/used Device Discovery Utility to find router's IP address...in order to re-enter the router's UI? Finally, do you (or anyone else) know, what I might be "giving-up" when AP mode disables firewall, IP sharing, and NAT functions? Most importantly, firewall?158Views0likes1Comment
