Activating a backordered phone
I have a Sprint phone that will not work on the T-mobile network, and T-mobile has been after me (constant text messages) to switch phones. So one day they called me and I said: ok, send me the new phone. However, the woman who called me told me I had to activate the phone in 14 days or I would be charged the full price. The problem was the phone was on backorder, so today I fired up T-mobile chat to ask when that 14 day activation window starts/ends, and the employee on chat looked up my account and said I could wait as long as I want to activate. It is a free phone and no matter when I activate it I will not be charged for it. I'm curious if anyone knows which employee was right? I don't feel like fighting with T-mobile to get the price of a new phone removed from my bill.182Views0likes1Comment
