I have been a valued customer for 8+ years and I no longer qualify for the First Responders Program. I have had this discount applied since the height of the COVID pandemic. I am a Registered ER Nurse that saves lives daily and it's very disturbing that we are undervalued and never recognized for our services. How do patrol officers qualify, but Nurse don't? This month will be my last month with T-Mobile (unwilling). However, I will be taking my hard earned money elsewhere that values/recognizes Nurses as lifesavers too. I will definitely not be the only customer you lose. I guarantee you that! Shame on you T-Mobile.9.8KViews12likes17CommentsNurses aren't first responders apparently?????
ER NURSE SPEAKING…. I used to rave about t-mobile and recommend it to anyone who was unhappy with their phone company. Nurses are not only first responders considering we are the first ones saving whomever the second they get to the hospital, but we also work outside of hospitals in the field and are the first to arrive or be a part of situations when people need help or their life saved. We also continue to take care of and sacrifice our own health (not eating, not getting a break, being on our feet for 12+ hours, being exposed to bodily fluids and diseases that are known and unknown, not sleeping, overworking, damaging our backs and joints moving and catering to patients etc...) to save the lives of others. We are UNDERPAID, OVERWORKED, SHORT STAFFED, SLEEP DEPRIVED, AND UNAPPRECIATED. I am WITHOUT A DOUBT switching to a different phone company and I am going to make sure I tell every single nurse I encounter to do the same. The thing is it isn't even about the money, it is the principle and lack of respect. The LEAST t-mobile could do is continue to give us a discount (and it was BARELY a discount to begin with). You guys make an insane amount of money and every single person running this company and working for this company has had a nurse some how some way save or preserve their life. Shame on you t-mobile. TO ALL MY FELLOW NURSES THAT SEE THIS: - ATT gives 25% - Verizon gives $10 dollars off per account - Spectrum gives 30% off1.8KViews4likes3CommentsDiscount Revoked!!
So I was shopping for a new carrier months ago. T-Mobile told me that I qualified for the first responders plan so I signed up. I had my state uniform on from work. Few months later my bill goes up, over $100 more. I look into it and find that the discount has been removed, they told me I need to go in and verify. So I go in to verify and my job is not listed on T-Mobile as first responder!! I call customer support, She tells maybe my company will sign up soon, to check back in a few months. 😳😐😡🤬. So I say the only reason I agreed to join was because of the deal the Store Associate told me I could get. She advised that I could switch to a lower plan......SMH!!!!🤬 I'm kinda stuck because I have 5 lines there's promo deals with the phones, u Kno. I really don't want to have to go through the hassle of switching companies but at the same time I refuse to keep paying $100 more for wrong information that they told me. Does anyone have any suggestions?? And thank you!!👍🏽248Views0likes2CommentsFirst Responder Verfiication Issue(s)
Anyone else had or having issues getting their first responders discount verified and added to their account?? I am wanting to get the first responders discount added to my account so earlier this week I got on the T-Mobile website and uploaded my volunteer firefighter id like it said too. Well the next day I got a response saying they couldn’t verify eligibility using the ID that I uploaded. I called twice to customer service asking about it...the first lady sounded like she didn’t know anything about the first responder discount and she kept putting me on hold to talk to her “supervisor”. Finally she told me that she would have to submit a ticket and she would be in touch. I decided that afternoon to call back and talk to someone else. This woman told me two different things...the first was that the notes said the ID that I uploaded was possibly fraudulent and that i would need to resubmit it and then later in the same call she said the pixilation of the uploaded pic was the problem. I asked her which one was the issue and she couldn’t tell me. I think she was just making stuff up. I got the fire department to make me a new badge that I just uploaded so I will wait now to see what they say this time. I don’t understand why T-Mobile is having a issue with the ID since I uploaded it on several other websites and get verified with no issues (Id.me and GovX to name a few)162Views0likes2CommentsT-Mobile chat rep lied about first responder eligibility
I switched from ATT to T-mobile recently and was told that I would qualify for the first responder plan since I’m on the first responder plan on ATT. I chatted with a T-Mobile rep and transferred over 5 lines after confirming my qualifications. Now that I’ve paid off $3000 in balances with ATT for my devices and jumped through all the hoops of transferring my entire family to the magenta max plan, I’m told I don’t qualify for first responder status. I’m an ICU physician and I told them that clearly and I told them I don’t have EMT certification but I do sometimes ride in ambulances. They said all I needed was my hospital ID to verify. I’ve attached the chat log below. Today, I call customer service to clear up this issue and am told there’s nothing they can do about their employee lying to me and the most they can do is either give me a lower grade plan for a discount that would still leave me paying $426 more per year than I was originally quoted. I’m pretty sure bait and switch schemes are against the law and I will surely report this to the relevant authorities. Looking around online it seems many people are falling prey to this predatory scheme. What are my options at this point. The customer rep at the call center called her supervisor and they are refusing to acknowledge this issue.521Views1like1CommentFirst Responder Discount - Disallows Feds
Just hoping that maybe the T-Mobile policy makers might consider allowing Federal 1st Responders into the program. We frequently do the same or very similar work that our state, county and local counterparts do. Often the Federal Firefighter and Law Enforcement community serves a greater geographical area - sometimes world wide. How about it T-Mobile Executives? You could have many more customers. As a result of your current policy I’m shopping for a different program that is more flexible and gives me better coverage in the location I’m in. Thanks, Delta Mike498Views0likes1CommentWhy are Prosecutors not considered "Law Enforcement Employees/Professionals?"
After over a week of back and forth, my documents for the Magenta FS plan were rejected. I am a prosecutor who works on a taskforce primarily concerned with investigations, warrants, and other pre-trial matters rather than traditional “lawyer” work. Finally, today, a manager at my local T-Mobile told me that my role simply does not qualify under their internal guidelines. Though I was initially placed on the plan, I’ll be taken off next month. What the heck?506Views0likes4Commentsfirst responder verification
Wondering if anyone else in the t mobile land is getting asked to reverify their first responder status every month? i switched from verizon and only send verification once a year. i can say doin it every month is getting old. Doing the chat with t mobile seems pointless. they just send the company link saying we have the discount and click here to start. On 1-14 I spent about hour with nice lady about going thru the whole process and she saw that it was verified, but today, text message that u need to verify status again.2.5KViews1like3Comments
