gaming issue?

So I play GTA V. And lately I’m not allowed to play online due to something with my t-mobile internet. I’ve figured out I can play after I reset my internet. Every time I start up the game. Is there a better solution due to the tedious process?

i still think its along the lines of what @syaoran  mentioned above. its either going to be issues with bouncing between towers, NAT issues or because it doesnt have a static IP which i would think certain things would need in order to confirm its you.

I literally live .2 miles away from the tower.  I don’t think it’s a switching issue.   But what you say about my IP and NAT does make sense especially since T-Mobile locks users out of DHCP settings and will not allow port forwarding.  Very frustrating and lame.

I was sadly getting upload speeds of 700 kmpbs and download of like 20-50 mpbs! It was terrible, that’s daily in my area! I couldn’t even use the internet on my phone at some point. Funny enough I would switch to my T mobile data to compensate.

It is internet using mobile towers.  The issue is, your IP address will change when the device switches towers to provide you with a better connection.  This can cause issues with gaming online as it might introduce a lag spike or cause your connection to the online server to drop.

From what I heard, it’s not very optimize for gaming especially if you have congestion of a lot of other boxes in the area, it makes it totally unplayable! I had to cancel my service yesterday bc they just didn’t mention that for 3 months and a few phone calls until someone yesterday finally told me!
