I live in a major metropolitan area - why do I only get two bars at best??
When I don’t have Wi-fi calling enabled, calls cut out and drop constantly and I can only get one or two bars of cellular service. I live in a city. What’s the problem? Then my battery gets eaten up ...

My phone is a year old, the technology in it is probably two years old. It's fine with LTE, just missed the 5G train. The coverage in Saint Paul is supposed to be excellent, but it has never been. I'm not going to buy a new phone just to find out that T-mobile's questionable network connectivity isn't any better with 5G, but I think I will finally move on after 23 years. There's no excuse I have heard or I can imagine that explains it. It's been probably 15 phones I've had and as long as I use wifi calling, it's fine, but I should be able to rely on the cellular network in a metropolitan area like the Twin Cities if I need to.
