I had exactly the same problem trying to pre-order my phone from Samsungs web site and got the error that my account type is not supported. It turned out that my account type was "Individual" but the sub type was not "Regular" it was MCSA. The MCSA is the issue. The T-Mobile rep I was talking to rang customer care on my behalf and asked them to remove the MCSA sub type from my account. After a few minutes they said it was done, and Samsung was happy to accept my order. I would suggest you:
- Try ringing T-Mobile cares and asking them to remove the MCSA from your account - chatting with support was not helpful.
- Go to a T-Mobile store and speak to someone, they will be able to see the sub type of your account. From there have them ring customer care and ask them to remove it, that skipped the phone line and got to someone who just did it.
Best of luck and I know this is such a pain, but it can be fixed very easily if you get to the right group. Didn't (hasn't yet) seem to impact my account in anyway.
