T-mobile supervisor hung up on me because they did not like the fact I record all conversations with CSR's
Called in to get my service plan billing fixed. Had called in about 3 weeks ago to change plan to a lower rate and to remove the 2nd # from my plan which belonged to my late Father. The rep did all that and told me my new plan (Magenta 55+) would be about 50 bucks with all the taxes etc and I was happy.
Get the notice for the bill, it is $85.20 so I checked my detailed bill. They are billing me for the 2 lines listed in the Magenta 55+ plan (its 35 a line and 70 for 2) So I call them. The rep on the phone is useless so I ask for a supervisor who is rude and interrupts me. I inform him that I have been recording the call and he gets all snitty saying I do not have *HIS* permission to record. I live in TEXAS, and in TEXAS which is a 1 party state for recording that means as long as 1 party is aware of the recording it is LEGAL! He argues and threatens to disconnect saying it is illegal for me to record him without his consent. I told him look up the law, or better yet, put me on hold and contact his LEGAL department.
So he gets pissy again and hangs up.. I am now waiting on a call back to get my bill resolved.
I record all my calls when dealing with and CSR for ANY company so that if they screw up I have proof.
T-Mobile better get their act together and train their CSR’s better! Need to tell them that it is legal for callers to record them without their consent due to their state laws allowing it.

It’s a courtesy to let people know you’re recording them at the start of the phone call because it may be legal in one state but in another state it may be illegal which may be why the rep hung up on you.
