Not awful

I'm a little disappointed because I traded in my OnePlus 6t which was a great phone. I don't think I appreciated how smooth it ran. The Galaxy s20 fe is a great phone on paper but it's software is buggy. There is a irritating amount of false swipes and other little bugs in the system. Nothing that I can't learn to live with but it will always bug me. Camera is really good but only a marginal increase from my OnePlus 6t. Also the fingerprint reader is pretty fast and accurate. I have like the 120 HZ but was probably over sold on it. It's something I don't really notice all that much now and had to scrutinize even when it was new.

Poor quality

I've had this phone for less than a week and I'm already returning it. It randomly lags causing audio to stutter. Android Auto constantly disconnects and I have to disconnect and reconnect the cable. Today my phone was sitting on my desk saying "USB cable connected" and then "USB cable disconnected" over and over when there was nothing plugged in. The screen is lower quality than my S9+, everything about this phone is worse than my S9+ except the new processor, but I'll gladly go back to my previously reliable phone that might get just slightly worse battery life. Also, 5G is slower than 4G everywhere I tested it, so that's pointless as well.

Looks great, Feels Great, Not So Great

Purchased this in November of last year and thought I had snagged a deal because I was upgrading from S7. A month into owning and I noticed one day the screen goes almost dark in bright sunlight. Thinking it was an issue with fresh tech I called CS to be reassured that it was a glitch. Sent me a new phone..then 2 months later another one..you get the story I'm sure. A query in Samsung Community board reveals A NUMBER OF PEOPLE who own the phone is having the same issue. A call to Samsung results in a trip to local warranty repair shop who don't see the problem but change the screen as a warranty gesture. Still dark..in the sunlight..nuff said!

Do not recommend

I had a galaxy s9 before i got the s20fe. I was in love with my s9 and i thought this would be better. Boy was i wrong. First of all, 5g is alot slower than 4g. My phone lags alot using the internet and i keep getting "messages failed to send" when texting. The screen is a big downgrade, it rarely recognizes my face or fingerprint, and typing is a nightmare( took me a long time to type this review, since it didn't want to type the letters or didnt recognized the space bar). It freezes too, so playing online games is not as enjoyable as before since buttons dont want to work. Honestly, thinking about trying the apple phones, cuz im done with this one.

Great on Paper, User experience subpar.

I've been a long term galaxy user off and on for years. I've had a pixel 4xl for a year and a OnePlus 8 for a week before switching. I only switched because my OnePlus wouldn't allow a factory update. HOWEVER after using both phones for a week it was obvious which phone had the edge. The display refreshes fast, but on a 1080p panel with a more frail gorrila glass 3. When running multiple apps especially games (pubg, cod, etc) the heat seems to dissipate through the actual phone screen. Samsungs DEX is extremely cool. If you're not looking to exercise this feature the new OnePlus 8t will for sure out perform in every aspect. If you're considering go OnePlus you won't regret it!

Horrible Phone. Research Proximity Sensor.

This is the worst phone I have ever owned. Research the S20FE proximity sensor and see how the screen stays active while you are on the phone call! You will hang up on most of your calls. This phone requires your face to physically be touching the phone at all times to keep the screen inactive. If you do not touch enough of your face to the screen in the right place and with enough pressure, it will keep the screen active and you will hang up on people!! I had the phone for less than 3 weeks and took it back. Tmobile will not correct the situation, Samsung will not correct the situation. Save your money for a better phone! This one is horrible!

Amazing Phone For The Price

I've been a firm believer in OnePlus devices for years but I have noticed the better photos my wife's Samsung produces and when I saw the price/secs for this, I decided to ste away from OP and give it a try. I'm impressed. It's not quite as snappy as my 7 Pro was but it's not bad. I like the flat screen and the resolution is great. I miss the OnePlus operating system but the trade up on the picture quality balances that out. This handset is a great value for the money. Fast, nice screen, great photos and a lot of other features you might think you'd only get with a more expensive phone. I'm enjoying this one so far!

disappointed

This phone is just okay. 5G seems to be slow most of the time. Always losing signal. Phone does not pick up my correct location. Typing on this keyboard is a nightmare. Whenever I make a phone call I have to make sure not to press my phone up to my face because it will hang up. Battery seems to be fine, it will last me all day even after 10 hours of listening to music plus browsing the web. My biggest complaint is that after the update it took away the best camera feature, live focus. Very disappointing because the camera really isn't all that great and now they have made it even worse by taking away features.

No, I do not recommend this product.
