Take Friday Nights to a Whole. New. Level.

T-Mobile kicked off its inaugural Friday Night 5G Lights in 2024 to give small towns across the U.S. the 5G advantage.

The application period for this year’s competition is over, but check back on September 25 to see the top 25 finalists!

This is more than a contest.

It’s a nationwide movement to fuel school pride, performance, and possibility. This year, 450 schools won $5,000 on $5K Fridays. On September 25, we’ll announce the top 25 finalists, who will each score $25,000 to upgrade their programs. Finally, on October 30, one school will be crowned the grand prize winner.

Boosting small communities.

Friday Night 5G Lights is the latest way T-Mobile is supporting small communities after announcing its commitment in April 2021. Since then, we’ve delivered on our promise by expanding the nation’s leading 5G network, connecting rural communities with T-Mobile 5G Home Internet, empowering the community through Project 10Million, and investing nearly $18 million in small communities nationwide through Hometown Grants.
