Transforming Friday Nights forever.

The 2025 Friday Night 5G Lights season was another monumental success, with high-impact upgrades, small-town pride, and game-changing moments. Schools in towns of 150,000 people or less gave their all, rallying the community and showcasing what hometown love really means to them.

Boosting small communities.

Friday Night 5G Lights is the latest way T-Mobile is supporting small communities after announcing its commitment in April 2021. Since then, we’ve delivered on our promise by expanding the nation’s leading 5G network, connecting rural communities with T-Mobile 5G Home Internet, empowering the community through Project 10Million, and investing nearly $18 million in small communities nationwide through Hometown Grants.

Looking back: A year of big wins.

We began Friday Night 5G Lights in 2024 because connecting people to what they love, wherever they are, is what we do. In our first year, we had 1,749 entries from all 50 states. 300 schools won $5,000 each, 16 finalists won $25,000, and the grand prize went to Inola High School in Inola, OK.
