Your Friday night anthem on repeat.

Some towns shape dreams. Some songs capture them. Jackson Dean brings that Friday night feeling to life in “Turn on the Lights.”

Transforming Friday Nights forever.

Another season of Friday Night 5G Lights is well underway, with high-impact upgrades, small-town pride, and game-changing moments. Schools in towns of 150,000 people or less are giving it their all, rallying the community and showcasing what hometown love really means to them.

This year, T-Mobile is giving high schools even MORE chances to win:

450 won $5,000 through $5K Fridays.

A total of 450 schools were awarded $5,000 each as part of the $5K Fridays sweepstakes.

25 will win $25,000 as the Top 25 finalists.

25 schools will be selected as this year’s Top Finalists, automatically winning $25,000 and a T-Mobile Magenta Home Game.

1 will win up to $1M+ as the grand prize winner.

The top 25 finalists will compete for the grand prize, which will include $1,000,000 toward a football field upgrade, a consult with a stadium experience expert, a weight room upgrade by Gronk Fitness, and much more.

Here’s what’s ahead for the top 25.

Boosting small communities.

Friday Night 5G Lights is the latest way T-Mobile is supporting small communities after announcing its commitment in April 2021. Since then, we’ve delivered on our promise by expanding the nation’s leading 5G network, connecting rural communities with T-Mobile 5G Home Internet, empowering the community through Project 10Million, and investing nearly $18 million in small communities nationwide through Hometown Grants.

Looking back: A year of big wins.

We began Friday Night 5G Lights in 2024 because connecting people to what they love, wherever they are, is what we do. In our first year, we had 1,749 entries from all 50 states. 300 schools won $5,000 each, 16 finalists won $25,000, and the grand prize went to Inola High School in Inola, OK. Check out all the stories from the year that changed Friday nights forever.
