CONTEST JUDGING CRITERIA AND WINNER SELECTION: The potential winners of the Contest will be selected as follows:

Spirit Spotlight Award: During the Contest Submission Period Schools that actively show support for their School’s contest efforts through social posts tagging @tmobile and including the hashtags #FN5GL and #Entry or #FN5GLEntry will be eligible for the Spirit Spotlight Award Prize as outlined in the Prizes section below. All eligible submissions will be reviewed by a panel of judges selected by the Sponsor to determine the School(s) designated as Spirit Spotlight Award winners.

Division Finalist Determination: All Submissions received during the Submission Period will be assigned to a geographic division (each, a “Division”) based on the State provided during the Submission process. At the conclusion of the Submission Period, eligible Submissions within each Division will be reviewed by a Sponsor-selected panel of judges (the “Judges”) to determine the Schools eligible to be selected as Division Finalists for each applicable Division. Submissions will be evaluated based on a combination of factors, which may include, but are not limited to:

• Alignment with T-Mobile’s small-town business strategy and related community connectivity initiatives;
• Demonstrated need for improvements, potential impact on the School and surrounding community, and the feasibility of the proposed enhancements; and
• Overall creativity, quality of the Submission, and degree of community engagement and outreach during the Contest.

The Judges may consider the foregoing factors in any order of importance and may assign greater or lesser weight to any factor in their sole discretion. All judging decisions are final and binding and are not subject to appeal.

Subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with these Official Rules, up to forty (40) Schools (ten (10) Schools per Division) will be selected as potential finalists (“Division Finalists”) based on the Judges’ holistic evaluation of the Submissions.

In the event the Judges determine that two (2) or more Submissions are tied or otherwise difficult to distinguish, the Judges may, in their sole discretion, re-evaluate such Submissions using any of the Judging Criteria, individually or in combination, to break the tie and determine the Division Finalists.

Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to select fewer than forty (40) Division Finalists if it determines that an insufficient number of eligible and/or qualified Submissions are received during the Submission Period.

Division Finalists will be notified on or about October 2, 2026. All Division Finalists must comply with all instructions provided by the Sponsor to prepare any additional finalist materials (including, without limitation, photos, videos, or other requested information). Failure to comply may result in disqualification and the selection of an alternate Division Finalist for the applicable Division, in Sponsor’s sole discretion. Any additional materials submitted must adhere to the requirements set forth in any communication from the Sponsor or its representatives.

Public Voting Overview: Public voting will occur in two (2) phases:

Phase 1: Division Finalist Public Vote
Phase 2: Division Champion Public Vote

For both phases, eligible Voters (as defined below) may visit www.FridayNight5GLights.com, navigate to a School’s dedicated Friday Night 5G Lights page (“FN5GL Page”), and, using a personal computer or mobile device, follow the instructions provided to submit a valid mobile phone number. Voters will receive a one-time verification code via text message to the mobile phone number provided and must enter the code on the FN5GL Page to verify the number prior to voting. Once verified, the Voter may view the applicable Finalist Submissions and click the “vote” button to cast one (1) vote for the Submission of their choice (each, a “Vote,” collectively, “Votes”).

Standard message and data rates may apply according to the terms of the Voter’s wireless service provider. Voters are solely responsible for any such charges. By providing a mobile phone number and requesting the verification code, Voter expressly consents to receive a one-time automated text message from Sponsor or its service provider containing the verification code necessary to participate in voting. Consent to receive the verification text message is not a condition of any purchase. Text messaging services may not be available in all areas or through all wireless carriers.

Voting is open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia, where permitted by law, who are thirteen (13) years of age or older and who have a valid mobile phone number capable of receiving text messages prior to voting (the “Voter”). Minors between the ages of thirteen (13) and seventeen (17) may participate only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian and in accordance with Sponsor’s Privacy Policy and any applicable verification requirements. Sponsor may implement reasonable verification measures to confirm consent and voter eligibility.

There is a limit of one (1) Vote per verified mobile phone number per day during each applicable Voting Period, and each Voter may use only one (1) mobile phone number to vote. Any attempted Votes in excess of the stated limits will be void.

Votes obtained by fraudulent, automated, or otherwise improper means are prohibited and will be void. This includes, but is not limited to, offering prizes or inducements to the public in exchange for Votes, using multiple mobile phone numbers, SIM cards, devices, identities, or registrations, creating fraudulent mobile phone accounts, using disposable or “burner” phone numbers, or employing automated systems such as bots, scripts, or macros designed to circumvent the voting limits or artificially inflate voting results.

Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to monitor voting activity and to remove or invalidate Votes that appear to be generated by automated means, bulk phone number services, or other methods intended to artificially inflate voting results or circumvent the intent of these Official Rules. Sponsor may also take reasonable steps to address technical errors or irregular voting activity that may impact the fairness or integrity of the voting process. Sponsor’s determinations regarding the validity of Votes and the operation of the voting process are final and binding.

Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to audit Votes and voter eligibility and to require proof of identity, age, residency, valid mobile phone number ownership, and/or compliance with these Official Rules at any time. Failure to provide requested documentation to Sponsor’s satisfaction within the timeframe specified may result in disqualification of the Voter, voiding of associated Votes, and/or removal of the Votes from the applicable Submission total.

Sponsor is not responsible for disputes among participants, schools, or supporters regarding voting activity. Any concerns or allegations regarding voting must be submitted directly to Sponsor. Sponsor will review such concerns in its sole discretion and may take action it deems appropriate to protect the integrity of the Contest. Sponsor is not obligated to disclose the results of any such review or investigation, and Sponsor’s determinations regarding the validity of Votes and the outcome of the Contest are final and binding.

If Sponsor determines that voting has been compromised or manipulated in any manner that materially affects the outcome of the Contest, Sponsor reserves the right to determine the applicable winner based on the Judges’ evaluation of the affected Submissions.
