Manage your account online and use this page to learn about what account changes are available. These permissions are for digital access only, if you’re talking with us over the phone or at a store, use the Billing Responsible Party & authorized users page for details. Wireless postpaid accounts (includes business with SSN)

 

These settings apply to Business accounts with SSN, Home Internet with a wireless line, and T-Mobile Money.

Only one line can be set as the Primary Account Holder (PAH).

Roles

  • Primary Account Holder (PAH)
    • Account manager for all lines on the account.
    • Sets permissions for other lines on the account.
    • This profile permission is designated during the registration process.
    • Contact us to change the PAH.
  • Authorized User: Can manage the account and all lines on the account.
  • Standard User: 
    • Can see basic account information and details for your own line.
    • Can request Authorized User role (requires PAH approval)
    • Purchase international roaming passes for use on their own line (billed to account).
  • Restricted User : Can see basic account information and a usage summary for their line.
  • No Access: No access to T-Mobile.

Adding or Updating Authorized Users

  1. Log in to the T-Life app or My T-Mobile.
  2. Select “Manage.”
    • In the T-Life app: Select “Manage Authorized Users” and then “Add New Authorized User.”
    • On My T-Mobile: Go to “Account” > “Profile Settings” > “Permissions & Controls”, then select “User Roles.” 
  3. New users can be added by selecting the phone number or email address associated with the line.
  4. Select the phone number the new authorized user will use and enter their email address.
  5. Enter the legal first name and legal last name for the new authorized user:
    • The name should match what would be on their ID if they visit a T-Mobile store and not be a nickname to ensure they can have their name and ID validated.
    • Previous registration screen: If the phone number or email selected was previously registered by another user, a prompt displays before continuing.
  6. To continue with the new user, select the confirmation checkbox and select "Continue" to reassign the selected phone number or email to the new authorized user and remove it from the previous user’s profile.
  7. Select "Continue."
  8. Review the Authorized User’s Role Acknowledgement.
  9. Select the "Agreement check box" and Select "Confirm."
  10. The new Authorized User is added, Select "Done" to return to User Roles.
  11. An SMS or email notification is sent to the new authorized user to complete setup by logging in to T-Mobile.com or the T-Life app using the email or phone number selected. Note: The new Authorized User will now show in T-Mobile ID user roles, and will show as incomplete until the new user completes signing in to the T-Life app T-Mobile.com.
 

Business accounts (Account Hub)

 

Available roles in Account Hub. Business accounts with SSN, use the Wireless Postpaid accounts section.

  • Business Owners
    • Can access all accounts and perform all transactions.
    • Can designate permissions to different types of Account Managers (e.g., Account Maintenance Manager, Billing & Payments Manager, Order Manager).
    • Can require approval on certain Account Management and Ordering activities from End Users.
  • Account Managers 
    • Can only access and perform transactions on accounts assigned to them by the Business Owner.
    • Can require approval on certain Account Management and Ordering activities from End Users.
  • End Users Can only access and perform transactions on lines assigned to them by the Business Owner or Account Manager.

Home Internet accounts

 
  1. First, set up a T-Mobile ID. Go to the Home Internet sign up website.
  2. Then, once registered, the Home Internet line is the default Primary Account Holder.
