I also have the old plan "Select Choice Unl TT+D 20" a.k.a. "Simple Choice" with T-Mobile over 20 years. When I called them to address my concern about the 25% rate increase on my plan yesterday, the rep tried to convince me that it applied to everyone on those similar plans and it was only $5 more (asking me not to look at the percentage and saying he has 9 lines and the increase to him is $45 total per month). I also asked him about what they could do to customers like me. After he looked into my account and usage further, he recognized that I have been with T-Mobile for so long and recommended me with another plan offering unlimited texts and calls but no data for $20/month (Note this plan started 2017), but, there is no rate guarantee. This $25% rate increase is nothing like the recent cost hike in our grocery bills. For the groceries, we can choose what not to buy and what alternatives there are. For this rate increase, it is going to be fixed monthly moving forwards if not going higher even more, unless we switch the carrier. It also seemed to me, at this point is not negotiable and who knows if they will NOT keep increasing the rate on the plans. So I am looking into ClassAction.org for potential “mass arbitration” and see if by taking this action T-Mobile will go back to honor the same old rate to their loyal customers.45Views0likes0Comments
