Incoming calls while abroad
I am going to India, but will need my mobile number to receive calls from the USA. I have a couple of questions - Will the person calling from the USA be able to call me normally, and will he/she be charged extra for the call? If I receive the call, what would I be charged? If I keep my phone on airplane mode and connect to wifi, will wifi calling work (wifi calling is free as far as I understand)? I am on the ONE plan (family plan) without any add-ons as of now.
Travel to the U.A.E. and Amsterdam
T-mobile community challenged here. I will be traveling and don’t want to get stuck with outrageous fees. Reading blogs and seeing that some folks have to get a new sim card, but if I am reading the T-mobile site correctly I should be good to go? I am on the Magenta plan and T-mobile site says that the network AND my note20 plus is compatible. How do I actually confirm this? Any insights? Thankings!
International Roaming & Rejecting Incoming Calls
If I'm out of the US traveling and someone calls me and I don't answer the call will I be charged? If that person leaves a voicemail and I don't call to check my voicemail would I be charged? If so, if I disable voicemail would it avoid me getting this charge? Or do I have to disable voicemail and remove call forwarding? There seems to be a lot of conflicting information about this. I spoke to a few T-mobile reps and some say I won't get charged and others are saying I will get charged regardless. So I honestly do not know who/what to believe! Hello, I currently pay $15 per month for International State Side calling feature. So one of the country I call is India (which is unlimited since I have this 15$ add on). So my question is, If I travel to India and if I have to call back to USA will this be covered as part of this Add on? Will I be able to call USA numbers from India for free (unlimited)? Does the 5GB international data included in the Magenta MAX plan have any restrictions on the number of different countries in one trip? In other words, is it possible to use 5GB in country A and country B, for a total of 10GB in one trip? If not, does the 5GB data reset every billing cycle?changing plan- when it gets effective?
I want to change my plan from Magenta to Magenta Max as we travelling abroad and would like to take advantage of 5GB data. Few questions.. (1) if I do the change in plan online.. does it get effective right away? or next cycle? (2) can I come back to original plan once i am back ?
Extended International Travel - Parking T-Mo Number
My daughter will be in Japan for 11 months (study abroad) starting in August. The last time she did this three years ago, we kept on her T-Mo service until after she had arrived in Japan and obtained local phone service, number and SIM. After that, we ported out her number to a VOIP service and then about a week before she returned, we ported it back to T-Mobile and reactivated her line. This saved a lot of money compared to leaving her line “active” with T-Mobile. The VOIP service we used cost less than a dollar a month. Is there now a parking service with T-Mo? Our goals are simply (1) to save her number for eventual re-use, and (2) to save money. If T-Mo had something that cost five bucks a month (or less) just to turn off her line, but keep her number safe, I’d do that versus the hassle of porting-in and porting-out. We’ll be grateful for any and all suggestions.Travel to Spain: Will Magenta Max 55+ work?
Going to Spain soon - hoping to use the international 5gb data plan and 25cents/min that are included in the Magenta Max 55+ but when I go to check if Spain is covered on the Tmobile app - its says that T mobile doesn’t operate there yet? Is that for real or is it a bug? I find it hard to believe that Spain is not covered … Says same thing for Portugal, and France … must be a bug.
T-Mobile Free Trial for US travel
Hi there, I‘m traveling to the US for a few weeks soon. I am from Germany. I thought about using the T-Mobile free trial for mobile data during my stay. Does anyone know if I can use that free trial despite being based in Germany, having a German iPhone and (obviously) a SIM that is set up for Germany usually? Thank you in advance! Fabian
