This might relate to you, so read it. I'm the type of person that has difficulty switching providers once I'm comfortable, but after 20+ years with a different carrier I decided to give T-Mobile a try. Brutal honesty here; I felt that going into a store might be cumbersome. So I called and spoke with several corporate level T-Mobile reps at different times. A couple were great and informative, while others were trying, but certain barriers it made if very difficult. There were a few obstacles that were presented, as there always seems to be with tech, but our phones were delivered (4 of them, new, free) and it was time to port the numbers and change everything. I called T-Mobile and after an hour on the phone was told that I would have to go into a local store and have them verify my I.D. ??? I wasn't happy. I gathered members of the family, the new phones, old phones and pertinent information. Certain that the worst was lying ahead, and there would be hassles abound, we went to the store at 23 and Van Dyke and were immediately greeted by Daniel and two other employees who regretfully, I didn't get their names...lovely people though. Wow, what a relief! I was approaching some pretty elevated frustration levels, and to my delight, they handled everything that was needed soup-to-nuts, with a smile. I understand sales, and asked if T-Mobile kicks them any dollars or credits for helping out people who didn't buy from their store. Daniel said "no but it's part of the job and we help in hopes for it to come back in other forms". The process to port and register four phones (from a former business account) took a good bit of time, but they kept their heads down, handled their business like professionals, and remained very friendly and conversational the whole time. I highly recommend doing business with this location. Unlike that old saying; the customer is NOT always right and in the mobile business there's always going to be issues, frustration, and some "whoa is me" attitude from customers. I can imagine the headache the sales force there has to put up with at times. Even though I was not happy, I walked in with a smile and tried to be upbeat and friendly, even apologizing because I knew I'd been dumped off on them to deal with something that wasn't their doing. The reciprocal treatment I got was outstanding. I would imagine many people with harsh complaints don't take that same approach. I was extremely happy with the service provided. I will return and suggest that you shop here for your T-Mobile needs. View on Google
