Recycling, the right way.

T-Mobile handles a range of smartphones, accessories, and batteries.

Our recycling program requires partners to comply with federal and state disposal laws, giving customers a way to properly, and safely recycle their outdated devices.

Our cell phone recycling and reuse program has helped 28 million T-Mobile phones, and counting, be reused or resold since 2013, with more than five million in 2019 alone.

Since cell phones contain precious metals, recycling not only conserves these materials, but also reduces greenhouse gas emissions.

Making new products from recycled materials uses less energy than sourcing new materials.

For every one million devices we recycle, 35,284 lbs. of copper, 772 lbs. of silver, 75 lbs. of gold and 33 lbs. of palladium can be recovered.

Millions of cell phones end up in landfills or are disposed of improperly, posing potential harm to the environment.
