You agree to use Scam Shield only as permitted by law, these Terms, and any user guides or instructions that we provide. Scam Shield is provided on an “as-is” basis with no warranties. T-Mobile makes no representations of any kind, express or implied, regarding the performance or reliability of the Scam Shield service. You are granted a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Scam Shield for your own individual use. You agree not to modify, copy, transfer, or reverse engineer Scam Shield, including any security features, and understand that doing so might void any applicable warranties. You are solely responsible for the content and materials you access via Scam Shield, and for any activity resulting from the use of your log-in credentials, including harm from viruses or other harmful things you may access. Use of Scam Shield may result in additional data usage, depending on your device’s connectivity and the nature of the threats detected. These terms contain important provisions that may cover features not available to you or included in your rate plan.

Scam Shield allows you block certain calls and text messages. Doing so may inadvertently block calls or text messages you want to receive. Senders of blocked text messages are not notified that you did not receive their message.

To help safeguard your digital experience, T-Mobile has provided the Scam Shield service. Scam Shield monitors internet activity (such as web browsing and app usage) to help block access to malicious or restricted websites and domains. While Scam Shield enhances your protection against common threats, it does not guarantee complete security, as vulnerabilities may still exist and could be exploited.

Scam Shield does not alter your data connectivity or encrypt traffic. It operates by analyzing domain-level activity and application metadata to identify potential risks and provide alerts or blocks accordingly.

Safe Web Browsing protection is only available while on the T-Mobile network. Safe Web Browsing does not extend to other cellular networks or while on Wi-Fi.

To use the Scam Shield service within the T-Life App you will need a mobile device with Android 9 or Apple iOS 16 or higher.

You are granted a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-commercial, revocable, non-assignable and non-transferable license to download and use Scam Shield on a single mobile device owned or controlled by you, and to access and use Scam Shield on that device in accordance with these Terms. T-Mobile and/or First Orion Corp. (d/b/a PrivacyStar™) retain exclusive ownership of all proprietary rights in Scam Shield throughout the world.

Scam Shield collects certain personal information when you use it. T-Mobile uses and shares collected information as described in these Terms and its Privacy Policy (http://www.t‑mobile.com/privacy). This includes sharing information with T-Mobile's suppliers to both provide and improve Scam Shield. Other than these uses, or others described in our Privacy Policy, which may change from time to time, we won’t give third parties permission to use data that identifies you without obtaining additional consent from you.

If we believe you have violated the terms, we may investigate, terminate your ability to use Scam Shield, and/or refer violations to law enforcement. We may change any aspect of Scam Shield at any time, or terminate your ability to use Scam Shield for any reason, with or without warning, and you may not receive a refund. You may have to accept new versions of these Terms in the future to continue using Scam Shield.

The T-Mobile Terms and Conditions limit T-Mobile's liability, disclaim all warranties (meaning there are no warranties for Scam Shield), and require that you indemnify T-Mobile (meaning you might pay if someone sues us because of your use of Scam Shield). With regard to Scam Shield, these provisions apply to First Orion just as they would to T-Mobile.

These Terms are an agreement between you and T-Mobile, not Apple, and T-Mobile, not Apple, is responsible for Scam Shield and its content. However, Apple and Apple’s subsidiaries are third party beneficiaries of the Terms, meaning that once you accept them, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce the Terms against you.

Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support services for Scam Shield, and is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to Scam Shield or your possession and/or use of Scam Shield, including but not limited to: (i) product liability claims; (ii) any claim that Scam Shield fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement; and (iii) claims arising under consumer protection or similar legislation. Apple is also not responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of any third party claim that Scam Shield or your possession and use of Scam Shield infringes that third party’s intellectual property rights. If Scam Shield fails to confirm to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligations with respect to Scam Shield, and is not responsible for any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses to any failure to conform to any applicable warranty.

In addition to the license terms above, you may also access, acquire, and use Scam Shield on other accounts associated with you via Family Sharing or volume purchasing, and your use of Scam Shield and the T-Life app is also subject to any applicable App Store Terms of Service.

You represent and warrant that (i) you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo, or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a “terrorist supporting” country; and (ii) you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
