Only the Primary Account Holder and those with Full Access to the account can add lines, and the account must be current. Ready to add a line or device to your account? Let us show you how. For T-Mobile for Business customers, contact Business Customer Service and we'll get you up and running. For Prepaid customers, use the Activate or change T-Mobile Prepaid service page.

Add a line with a new device

  1. Log-in T-Mobile.com or the T-Mobile app.
    • In the T-Mobile app select SHOP, and then Add a line.
    • On T-Mobile.com select Add a person or device to my account in the “I want to…" section.
  2. Select your device.
  3. Select your color, memory variant, and pricing option, and select Add to a new line.
  4. Make or review plan selections and select Add a new line.
  5. Select Yes, I want to trade in a device if you would like to trade in a device. Otherwise, select No thanks, skip trade-in.
  6. Enter the trade-in device information, to find it dial *#06# to get your phone's IMEI, or find it in your device's settings, then select Continue.
  7. Provide information on the condition of your trade-in, then select Continue.
  8. Select Trade in this phone.
  9. Select Continue or select No, I’ll take my chances to opt out of insurance.
  10. Confirm your order details and pricing, then select Continue to shipping.
  11. Select your shipping method and review the address section. Edit the address if necessary, then select Continue to payment.
  12. Enter your payment details and check the Customer Agreement box to confirm consent of the T-Mobile Terms and Conditions, then select Accept & Continue.
  13. Sign your EIP Equipment Installment Plan agreement if you are financing your device with T-Mobile.
  14. Select Submit order.

Add a line with your own device

  1. Log-in T-Mobile.com or the T-Mobile app.
    • In the T-Mobile App select SHOP and then Add a line.
    • On T-Mobile.com select Add a person or device to my account in the “I want to…" section.
  2. Select your device type.
  3. Select the option to bring your own device.
  4. Review plan selections and select Add a new line.
  5. Confirm your order details and pricing, then select Continue to shipping.
  6. Select your shipping method and review the address section. Edit the address if necessary, then select Continue to payment.
  7. Enter your payment details and check the Customer Agreement box to confirm consent of the T-Mobile Terms and Conditions, then select Accept & Continue.
  8. Select Submit order.

Add a line with the T Life App

Add a line with BYOD SIM

  1. Download and log in to T Life app
  2. Select Manage Tab and then select Add a new person or device to your account.  
  3. Select This is the device I’m activating. 
  4. Enter the device IMEI to check compatibility.  
  5. Select Continue to activate via eSIM. 
  6. Confirm your current rate plan pricing and select Checkout.  
  7. Enter your Primary place of use address. Select the E911 toggle if the device will be used at the entered address.  
  8. Select Add payment method and select one of the following: 
    • Apple Pay 
    • Credit or debit card 
  9. Enter your payment details, Select Continue
  10. Enter your billing address, Select Continue.  
  11. Verify your address, Select Confirm.  
  12. Agree to the the Customer Agreements box to confirm consent of the T-Mobile Terms and Conditions, then Select Order now
  13. Complete the activation steps in the Order confirmation screen to activate your eSIM.  

Add a line with BYOD eSIM

  1. Download and log in to T Life app
  2. Select Manage Tab and then select Add a new person or device to your account.  
  3. Select This is the device I’m activating. 
  4. Enter the device IMEI to check compatibility.   Note: If your device is not eSIM compatible, you will need a physical SIM. Select Continue with SIM Card to have a SIM card shipped to you. Select Check another device if you would like to activate a different device.  
  5. Confirm your current rate plan pricing and select Checkout.  
  6. Enter your Primary place of use address. Select the E911 toggle if the device will be used at the entered address.  
  7. Select Add payment method and select one of the following: 
    • Apple Pay 
    • Credit or debit card 
  8. Agree to the the Customer Agreements box to confirm consent of the T-Mobile Terms and Conditions, then Select Order now
