Google One for T-Mobile is a membership that includes expanded cloud storage, phone backup and extra benefits to help you get more out of Google.

Requirements

T-Mobile customers with an Android or iOS device are eligible for Google One (excludes T-Mobile Business accounts, Google Workspace and child accounts).

Add or redeem Google One

Read me first

Before getting started, make sure that:

  • You have a T-Mobile ID​.
  • If you already have a Google, account make sure the correct information auto-populates during the redemption process.
  • If you don't have a Google account, you can create one during the redemption process.
  • If you already have a Google One account (purchased outside of T-Mobile) no worries! T-Mobile will migrate your existing subscription to the Google One subscription with T-Mobile during the redemption process.
 

Add and redeem through My T-Mobile or the T-Mobile App

 
  1. Log in to T-Mobile.com or the T-Mobile app.
  2. Go to the Manage Add-Ons page.
    • T-Mobile app: Select Account, Plan & Usage Details, Manage Data and Add-ons
    • T-Mobile.com: 
      • Under the I want to box, select the Manage add-ons link.
      • Select Account, then select Manage Add-ons.
  3. Select the line that you want to redeem Google One for. 
  4. At Cloud storage & backup, select the checkbox next to the Google One subscription you want to add.
  5. Select Continue.
  6. On the Review your order page, select Agree & Submit.
  7. Select the checkbox to agree to the Terms & Conditions and then select Activate Google One when the “You’re almost done” page loads.
  8. Select Activate Google One when the “You’re almost done” page loads. If you're in the T-Mobile app, you may be taken to the browser and asked to log in to your T-Mobile.com account again to continue the redemption process.
  9. Enter your Google account email address into the field that appears (you can use Forgot email? if you forget it) and select Next.
    • If you don't have a Google account, select Create account and follow the steps to create a Google account.
    • If you are already logged in to the Google account you want to use, you'll get the option to use that account for the redemption or choose a different account.
    • If you have a Google account cached in your browser, you'll get the option to use that account for the redemption and can log in with that account.
    • If you already have a Google One account, you will get an error. You must cancel your current Google One account to continue.
  10. Enter your password and select Next
  11. Select the checkbox to allow T-Mobile to access your subscription and then select Continue.
    1. If you have an existing Google One subscription (purchased outside from T-Mobile) you'll receive a message prompting to update your Google One plan.
    2. Select Allow Google to cancel your existing Google One plan 
    3. Return to T-Mobile to activate your new Google One plan
    4. Select the checkbox to agree to the Terms & Conditions and then select Activate Google One
    5. Select Continue on the sign in with Google.
  12. On the “Thank you for signing up” page, select the appropriate link to download the Google One app to take full advantage of backing up your mobile device data.

 

 

Redeem from Text message (SMS) or Email

 

If you had Google One added to your account from a retail location, or by calling customer care, a Google One redemption text message or email is sent immediately after Google One is added to your account so you can activate your service.

  1. Select the link (https://t-mo.co/GoogleOne) and log in to T-Mobile.com using your T-Mobile ID.
  2. Select the checkbox to agree to the Terms & Conditions, then select Activate Google One when the “You’re almost done” page loads.
  3. Enter your Google account email address (you can use "Forgot email?" if you forget it) and select Next.
    • If you don't have a Google account, select Create account and follow the steps to create a Google account.
    • If you are already logged in to the Google account you want to use, you'll get the option to use that account for the redemption or choose a different account.
    • If you have a Google account cached in your browser, you'll get the option to use that account for the redemption and can log in with that account.

Google One subscription & billing

  • Your subscription is managed through T-Mobile.
  • T-Mobile acts as the method of payment for your Google One membership each month.
  • If you remove Google One from your account, T-Mobile will immediately stop being your method of payment.
  • If you have problems with your subscription or wish to manage your subscription go to T-Mobile.com login page.
  • To manage the Google One subscription:
    1. Go to Manage add-ons
    2. Go to Cloud storage & backup section.

  • Google One app service troubleshooting (access issues, missing data, sync issues, etc.)

T-Mobile supports

 

Contact T-Mobile​ if you need help with:

  • Adding or removing Google One.
  • T-Mobile plan, billing, & account management 
  • Basic network or hardware troubleshooting
 

Cancelling

 
  • If you cancel your T-Mobile account, you will immediately lose your Google One membership. T-Mobile will no longer be your Google One method of payment and you will need to subscribe to Google One directly to continue your membership.
  • Log in to the T-Mobile App, T-Mobile.com or contact T-Mobile to remove Google One from your account.
    1. Log in to T-Mobile.com or the T-Mobile app.
    2. Go to the Manage Add-Ons page:
      • T-Mobile app: Select Account, Plan & Usage Details, Manage Data and Add-ons
      • T-Mobile.com:
        • Under the I want to box, select Manage add-ons.
        • Select Account, then select Manage Add-ons.
    3. Deselect the Google One feature and select Continue.
    4. On the Review your order page, select Agree & submit.
