I ordered my new T-Mobile iphones and 5G WiFi box online (not the best first step). My package arrived 2 days later. Contents: 4 new iphones , and 7 SIM cards for the additional 6 BYOD transfer lines and a 5G wireless modem. I took a deep breath, bought a large frozen coke and drove to the T-Mobile store at the corner of 44th St and Ivanrest in Grandville, Michigan. I was prepared to beg a rep to work with me. These reps have high sales quotas to achieve, not just for the commission, but to keep their jobs. I am the time-sucking, “bought it through chat on T-Mobile.com” (and the cases on Amazon), no-possible-sale pariah-type customer. I just wanted several hours of help to get all of this done without being told I was an idiot and I should just go home and call T-Mobile customer service. After all, they are the ones who promised me the moon and took my money. They should be the ones to make everything work and explain why my bill is $180 more than expected. So….you can imagine my surprise when everyone at the store appeared ready to help me after I told them why I was there. They gave me a bottle of water to chase my frozen Coke and “promised”they would handle everything and make sure I was satisfied no matter how long it took or how many visits I wanted to make to their store. They were there to help ME. When I apologized to Sam for taking up so much of his time, he said there was no need. He explained that this particular store was an “Experience” store. That meant that everyone who worked there had lots of experience so they knew how to get things done. In addition, they were not paid through commission. They were paid through “customer service”! Their goal was to take care of all my T-Mobile needs and answer all of my questions “at their store”. Wow! What a concept! What’s even better? They kept their word. Result? I didn’t need to call or chat with someone I couldn’t see. I didn’t need to start each conversation with a repeat of the last four calls or chats. I didn’t feel uncomfortable. I felt glad to be working with such talented people. I worked with Sam, Maurice (Mo), and Prince. I returned at least 4 times during the week after my package arrived.
