Got a message about changes to your JUMP! program? Find out more below!
What's changing?
Starting August 31, 2026, customers on JUMP! 1.0 are moving to JUMP! 2.0. JUMP! 2.0 lets customers upgrade as often as they would like once their device is 50% paid off, giving them the flexibility to upgrade whenever they are eligible instead of being limited to two upgrades within a 12-month period. We're moving customers to JUMP! 2.0 to provide a consistent upgrade experience. Based on current usage, approximately 1% of JUMP! 1.0 customers use the benefit.
Here’s what’s changing:
- Upgrade as often as you want instead of up to 2 upgrades every 12 months.
- Become eligible to upgrade once your device is 50% paid off. JUMP! 1.0 did not require a device paydown before upgrading.
- Continue enjoying Protection360®, which includes JUMP! benefits.
- Upgrade on your schedule using T-Life or T-Mobile.
When you're ready to upgrade, simply trade in your eligible device and receive credit for the remaining balance on your old device—up to 50% of the device's original cost. In many cases, this means little or nothing more to pay depending on your device and payment history.
Can I still upgrade before the change?
Yes. If you're currently on the JUMP! 1.0 program, you can upgrade at least one more time before August 31, 2026, even if you already upgraded twice in the past year. After August 31, 2026, you'll move to JUMP! 2.0 and future upgrades will follow the new eligibility requirements, including the 50% device paydown requirement.
JUMP! Upgrades
Under JUMP! 2.0, you're eligible to upgrade when:
- Your device is 50% paid off through your Equipment Installment Plan (EIP).
- Your EIP and wireless service payments are current.
- You trade in an eligible device in good working condition.
- You're enrolled in Protection360®.
