Determine update requirements

Customers' devices must meet the following requirements to update their software to the most current version:

  • Every power up the device will check for a new SW update
    • If a new update is available it will be downloaded in the background and wait to be applied on the next power off.
    • The update will be applied during the 2am to 4am window.  If there is any traffic or data activity during this time it will then apply the update during the next day (24 hours later)
  • 40% or higher battery life
  • Data connection

 

Update software versions

The device automatically updates to the latest software version when it's available. There is no option to manually check for a software update.

 

Issues after updating

If you experience issues after updating to the latest software version, perform a master reset.

  1. Access the Mobile Hotspot Admin Page.
  2. Click the Settings tab.
  3. Click Device Settings.
  4. Under 'Reset Factory Settings,' click Reset.
