Use these steps to support network settings on the Franklin T9 Mobile Hotspot.

 

 

 

APN & data settings

  1. Access the Mobile Hotspot Admin Page.
  2. Click the Settings tab.
  3. Click Mobile Settings.
  4. Under the APN heading, confirm the information entered is correct.
  5. Click Add.
  6. Enter the following information:
    • Profile Name: T-Mobile
    • APN: fast.t-mobile.com
  7. Click Save Changes.

 

Switch to 2G or LTE off

  1. Access the Mobile Internet Admin Page and click Disconnect.
  2. Click the Settings tab, then click Network Settings. Ensure the Automatic radio button is selected.
  3. Click the Automatic drop-down, chose desired network, and click Apply.

 

Manual network selection

The device detects and registers on wireless networks inside T-Mobile’s calling area, but roaming networks are usually restricted to T-Mobile SIM cards. You can manually select a network only in areas where T-Mobile does not own GSM spectrum.

 

  1. Access the Mobile Internet Admin Page.
  2. Click the Settings tab, then click Mobile Settings.
  3. Click the Auto Connect radio button to Off.
  4. Use the Connection Mode drop down to select network.
  5. Click Save Changes.

 

Turn on / off data roaming

  1. Access the Mobile Internet Admin Page and click Disconnect.
  2. Click the Settings tab.
  3. Click Mobile Settings.
  4. Select On/Off check box next to Data Roaming.
  5. Click Save Changes.
