Determine update requirements

Your device must meet the following requirements to update your software to the most current version:

  • 50% or higher battery life
  • Wi-Fi or USB connection

Update software versions

Update from a computer

  1. Make sure that you are connected to the Hotspot Wi-Fi and not the home Wi-Fi.
  2. Access the Mobile Hotspot Admin Page​ using Safari, EDGE, or Chrome.
  3. Click the Settings tab.
  4. Click Device Settings on the left-hand side of options.
  5. Under Software Updates, click Check for Updates, then click OK to the popup message.
  6. To have the software update automatically, check the Auto Update radio button, then click Apply.
  7. On the 'System update available pop-up,' click Download.
  8. On the 'Download complete' pop-up, click Update.
  9. On the 'Upgrading' message pop-up, click OK.

  1. If you followed the instructions on the splash page and lost connectivity, ensure that the blue lights turned off and then turned back on.
  2. When the device powers back on, try to access a new web page. If you are no longer directed to the splash page, the update was successful.

Issues after updating

If you experience issues after updating to the latest software version, perform a master reset.
