Device tutorials and user guide

No matter what you want to do with your new device, we have plenty of resources available to help you get on your way.

 

 

First time use

When you first turn on your new device, you might see a setup wizard to help get you started. Take a look at the steps below to walk through the setup process.

 

  1. Make sure the battery and SIM card are inserted:
  2. Select the language you want to use and tap Done.
  3. Tap Important information to review the warranty and safety handling information. Tap Done to return to the setup wizard.
  4. Select the Yes, I have read and understood the Important information check box.
  5. Tap the Next arrow and perform one of the following actions:
    • Tap the Get started button to set up a Sony Entertainment Network account now.
    • Tap the Next arrow to skip this step.
  6. If necessary, tap the Sync automatically switch to turn on. When turned on, the switch is set to the right and fills with color.
  7. Perform one of the following actions:
    • Select the necessary account type to set up, and then follow the on-screen prompts.
    • Tap the Next arrow to skip this step.
  8. Tap Finish.
  9. Review the "System Manager Application" information.
  10. Tap Close.

 

Transferring data

  1. Sign into you Google account on the old phone select the options to back up.
  2. You can install Google Photos on both devices for easy photo transfer.
  3. Move the SIM card from your old phone to the new one if they are the same size. If they are not the same size, use the SIM card that came with the new phone. 
  4. Follow the setup wizard and sign into the same Google account you used for previous phone when prompted
