Use these steps to support data usage on the Sony Xperia Z1s.

Data usage indicator

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Applications icon.
  2. Scroll to and tap Settings.
  3. Under WIRELESS & NETWORKS, tap Data usage.
  4. Choose from the following options:
    • Turn on and set a data usage limit
      1. Select the Set mobile data limit checkbox.
      2. Tap OK. A horizontal red bar appears in the graph.
      3. Touch the red bar and slide up or down to the desired data amount. When you reach this data amount, your data connection will automatically be disabled.
    • Change an existing data usage limit
      • From the graph, touch the red bar and slide up or down to the desired data amount. When you reach this data amount, your data connection will automatically be disabled.
    • Turn off the data usage limit
      • Clear the Set mobile data limit checkbox.
    • Set a data usage warning
      • Touch the orange bar and slide up or down to the desired data amount. A warning will not automatically disable your data connection. You will receive a notification in the Notification bar.

View data usage by app

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Applications icon.
  2. Scroll to and tap Settings.
  3. Under WIRELESS & NETWORKS, tap Data usage.
  4. Tap the Data usage cycle drop-down field to select the time period to be included for the data usage.
  5. If necessary, from the graph, touch the white bars to adjust the time period to be included for the data usage.
    Note: Below the graph, the dates included will be displayed.
  6. Scroll down to view the data usage for applications (in order from largest to smallest).
