Learn how to manage multitasking and switch windows on the Samsung Galaxy S9.

Turn on / off multitasking

  1. From the Home screen, swipe up on an empty spot to open the Apps tray.
  2. Tap Settings > Advanced features > Multi window.
  3. Move the slider to ON for the following:
    • Use Recents - Tap the text to open the Settings menu.
      • Split screen view
      • Snap window
    • Pop-up view action

Switch windows

  1. From the Home screen, tap the Recent windows key in the bottom left corner.
  2. If necessary, swipe up or down on the multi-window to access the desired application.
  3. Tap the desired window to open the application.
  4. Tap the X or swipe on an app to close.
