Learn how to lock and unlock the SIM PIN on the Samsung Galaxy S8.

 

 

 

Change SIM PIN

  1. From the Home screen, swipe up on an empty spot to open the Apps tray.
  2. Tap Settings > Biometrics and security > Other security settings > Set up SIM card lock.
  3. Tap the Lock SIM card slider to turn on.
  4. Enter current SIM PIN (default is 1234), then tap OK.
  5. Tap Change SIM card PIN.
  6. Enter current SIM PIN (default is 1234), then tap OK.
  7. Enter new SIM PIN, then tap OK.
  8. Re-enter new SIM PIN, then tap OK.

 

Turn on / off SIM PIN

The SIM PIN code can protect your SIM from being used in other devices. When you turn on the SIM PIN lock, the device prompts you to enter the code after turning it on.

  1. From the Home screen, swipe up on an empty spot to open the Apps tray.
  2. Tap Settings > Biometrics and security > Other security settings.
  3. Tap Set up SIM card lock.
  4. Tap the Lock SIM card slider to turn off.
