Change password / PIN

  1. From the Home screen, swipe up on an empty spot to open the Apps tray.
  2. Tap Settings > Lock screen > Screen lock type.
  3. If you currently have a password or PIN set up, enter it.
  4. Tap Password or PIN.
  5. Choose password/PIN > verify password/PIN > tap OK.

 

Turn on / off

  1. From the Home screen, swipe up on an empty spot to open the Apps tray.
  2. Tap Settings > Lock screen > Screen lock type.
  3. Select one of the following options:
    • Swipe
    • Pattern
    • PIN
    • Password
    • None
    • Smart scan
    • Face
    • Fingerprints
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to set up the desired screen lock option.

 

Fingerprint scanner

Add fingerprint

  1. From the Home screen, swipe up on an empty spot to open the Apps tray.
  2. Tap Settings > Biometrics and security > Fingerprints.
  3. Enter your PIN, pattern, or password. If you haven’t set one, you will be asked to register one first.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to scan your fingerprint.

Delete fingerprint

  1. From the Home screen, swipe up on an empty spot to open the Apps tray.
  2. Tap Settings > Biometrics and security > Fingerprints.
  3. Enter your PIN, pattern, or password.
  4. Tap the desired fingerprint, then tap Remove.

 

Face recognition

Setup

  1. From the Home screen, swipe up on an empty spot to open the Apps tray.
  2. Tap Settings > Biometrics and security Face Recognition.
  3. Enter your PIN, pattern, or password. If you haven’t set one, you will be asked to register one first.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to scan your face.

Remove Face Data

  1. From the Home screen, swipe up on an empty spot to open the Apps tray.
  2. Tap Settings > Biometrics and security Face Recognition.
  3. Enter your PIN, pattern, or password.
  4. Tap Remove face data > Remove.
