Use these steps to support voice commands on the Samsung Galaxy Note10+.

 

 

Voice dial a contact

  1. Long press the Home button to activate Google Voice.
  2. Speak Call + [name of contact].
  3. If necessary, tap the desired phone number if the contact has more than one number.
  4. You can also speak the number category at the end of step 4 (for example, + [Work])

 

Write a text message (SMS) with voice

Samsung keyboard

  1. From the Home screen, swipe up on an empty spot to open the Apps tray.
  2. Tap Messages.
  3. Tap the Compose message icon.
  4. Choose or enter the contact in the recipient field.
  5. Tap the Enter message field.
  6. Tap the Microphone key located two keys to the left of the Space key.
  7. Tap the Microphone icon.
  8. Speak the desired text.
  9. To change the language:
    1. Tap Default: English (US).
    2. Tap Add more languages.
    3. Tap Automatic to clear the checkbox.
    4. Tap the desired language(s) to select the checkboxes.
    5. Tap the Back key to return to the keyboard.
    6. Tap the Microphone key again.
  10. To return to the keyboard:
    1. Tap the Keyboard icon, or:
    2. Tap Back key > message field.
  11. When finished, tap the Send icon.

 

Google keyboard

  1. From the Home screen, swipe up on an empty spot to open the Apps tray.
  2. Tap Messages.
  3. Tap the Tap to compose message icon.
  4. Choose an option for entering the message recipient:
    • Contacts Option
      1. Tap the Contacts icon.
      2. Select the checkbox to the left of the contact, then tap Done.
    • Recipient Option
      1. Tap the Enter recipient field.
      2. Enter the recipient's phone number.
  5. Tap the Enter message field.
  6. Tap the Microphone key, then speak desired text.
  7. You will be automatically directed back to the keyboard when you stop speaking.
  8. When finished, tap the Send icon.
