Learn how to set alerts, ringtones, and notifications on the OnePlus Nord N200 5G.

 

Emergency alerts

  1. From the Home screen, swipe up to open the Apps tray.
  2. Tap Settings Apps & notifications > Wireless emergency alerts.
  3. Select from the following:
    • Allow alerts (on / off)
    • Extreme threats (on / off)
    • Severe threats (on / off)
    • AMBER alerts (on / off)
    • Public safety messages
    • State/local test (on/ off)
    • Emergency alert history
    • Vibration (on / off)
    • Alert reminder

Notifications

  1. From the Home screen, swipe up to open the Apps tray.
  2. Tap Settings Apps & notifications > Notifications.
  3. Select from the following:
    • Recently Sent
    • Notifications on lock screen
      • Show important and other notifications
      • Show important notifications only
      • Don't show notifications
    • Advanced
      • Hide silent notifications in status bar (on / off)
      • Snooze notifications from the notification shade (on / off)
      • Notification history 
        •  Use notification history (on / off)
      • Suggested actions and replies (on / off)
      • Notification dot on app icon (on / off)
      • Conversations
      • Bubbles
      • At A Glance
      • Default notification sound
      • Do Not Disturb
        • Do not disturb (on / off)

Incoming email

  1. From the Home screen, swipe up to open the Apps tray, then tap GMAIL
  2. Tap Menu > Settings.
  3. Tap your Google ID email address.
  4. If prompted, make sure the Notifications box is checked.
  5. Tap Notifications and select the following:
    •  All
    • High prioirty only
    • None
  6. Tap Manage Notifications > Advanced > Sound.
  7. Select from the available ringtones.

Ringtones

Ringtone for all calls

  1. From the Home screen, swipe up to open the Apps tray, then tap Settings.
  2. Tap Sounds & Vibration.
  3. Tap Phone ringtone.
  4. Select from the available ringtones.

Ringtone for calls from one contact

You cannot assign a ringtone to contacts stored on the SIM card or phone (device memory).

  1. From the Home screen, swipe up to open the Apps tray, then tap Contacts.
  2. Tap on the name of a contact, then tap the Pencil icon.
  3. Tap Menu > Set ringtone.
  4. Select from the available ringtones.

Do not disturb

Do not disturb allows you to block sounds, notifications, set exceptions for people, apps, alarms, and schedule for recurring events like sleep or meetings. To activate this feature follow these steps.

  1. From the Home screen swipe up, tap Settings.
  2. Tap Sounds & vibration Do not disturb
  3. Tap Do not disturb to turn the slider on or off.
