Turn on and use safe mode

Safe mode allows you to turn on the device with third-party apps disabled. Then you can easily uninstall apps that may be causing a conflict or software problem.

  1. Press and hold the Power button.
  2. On the screen, press and hold Power off.
  3. Tap Ok to reboot into Safe mode.
  4. Uninstall apps that are causing a problem:
    1. From the Home screen, swipe up, then tap Settings.
    2. Tap Apps & notifications > See all apps.
    3. Tap on an app, then tap Uninstall.
    4. Tap Ok to continue.

Turn off safe mode

  1. Press and hold the Power button.
  2. Tap Restart.
  3. Wait for the device to restart in standard mode.
