Learn how to customize text entry and default keyboard settings on the moto e6.

Change default keyboard

  1. From the Home screen swipe up, tap Settings > System.
  2. Tap Language & input.
  3. Tap Virtual keyboard > Manage keyboards.
  4. Select the keyboard you want to use by sliding its toggle button on.

Enter symbols & numbers

  • Tap the smiley1# key.
  • Tap the number and symbol keys as necessary.
  • Tap Menu > Insert smiley to access emoticons.
  • Tap the abc key to return to the alphabet keyboard.

Text entry mode

  1. From the Home screen swipe up, tap Settings > System.
  2. Tap Language & input > Virtual keyboard > Gboard.
  3. Adjust the settings as needed.

Turn on / off haptic (vibration) feedback

  1. From the Home screen swipe up, tap Settings > System.
  2. Tap Language & input > Virtual keyboard > Gboard.
  3. Tap Preferences.
  4. Under 'Keypress', select or clear the vibrate options as desired.
