Change default keyboard

Android version 8.0.0

  1. From any home screen, swipe left to locate and tap Settings.
  2. Select the General tab or scroll to and tap System > Language & input.
  3. Tap Current keyboard > SELECT MORE.
  4. Select the keyboard you want to use and tap OK.

Android version 7.1.2

  1. From you apps list, tap Settings > General > Language & input
  2. Tap Current keyboard > MANAGE KEYBOARDS.
  3. Select the keyboards you want to use by sliding its toggle button on.
  4. Tap Current keyboard again and choose the desired keyboard.

Enter symbols & numbers

  • Tap the smiley1# key.
  • Tap the grey <> keys at the bottom left to view more symbols.
  • Tap the smiley face to access emoticons.
  • Tap the abc key to return to the alphabet keyboard.

  1. From you apps list, tap Settings > General > Language & input
  2. Tap On-screen keyboard > LG Keyboard.
  3. Adjust the settings as needed for the following:

      • Sound on keypress

Turn on / off haptic (vibration) feedback

  1. From any home screen, swipe left to locate and tap Settings.
  2. Select the Sound tab or scroll to and tap Sound > LG Keyboard sound.
  3. Move the slider to the ON or OFF position.

  1. From you apps list, tap Settings > General > Language & input
  2. Tap On-screen keyboard > LG Keyboard > More.
  3. Tap the switch to turn Vibrate on keypress on or off.
