Use these steps to support voice commands on the LG G Pad X2 8.0 Plus.

Enable voice commands

  1. From any home screen, tap Apps > Settings.
  2. Under 'Personal,' tap Language & keyboard.
  3. Tap Google voice typing.
  4. Tap "Ok Google" detection.
  5. Tap From any screen to turn on.
  6. Tap Continue.
  7. Say "Ok Google" three times for it to recognize your voice.
  8. Tap Finish.

Open an app

  1. Press and hold the Home button.
  2. Say "Ok Google."
  3. Say "Open [App name]."

Voice dial a contact

  1. Press and hold the Home button.
  2. Say "Ok Google."
  3. Say "Call [Contact name]."

Write a text message (SMS) with voice

  1. Press and hold the Home button.
  2. Say "Ok Google."
  3. Say "Send a text to [Contact name]."
