Follow the steps below to use MirrorLink.

Android version 8.0.0

  1. From any home screen, swipe left to locate and tap Settings.
  2. Select the Network tab and scroll to or tap Connected devices > Media server.
  3. Tap the Content sharing slider to the ON setting.
  4. Tap ALLOW as prompted to allow other devices to connect.

Android version 7.1.2

  1. From any home screen, tap Apps > Settings.
  2. If using Tab view, select the Networks tab.
  3. Tap Share & connect > MirrorLink.
  4. Follow the prompts to install LG MirrorDrive.
  5. Connect to a car via USB cable. Apps and car must support MirrorLink.
  6. Follow any additional prompts.

Mirror screen on other device

Follow the steps below to share your device's screen with other devices such as televisions and monitors.

Android version 8.0.0

  1. From any home screen, swipe left to locate and tap Settings.
  2. Select the Network tab and scroll to or tap Connected devices > Mirrorlink.
  3. If necessary, follow the prompts to download the MirrorDrive software.
  4. Connect the USB to a compatible car.
  5. Tap the MirrorLink switch to turn on the feature.
  6. Follow any additional prompts.

Android version 7.1.2

  1. From any home screen, tap Apps > Settings.
  2. If using Tab view, select the Networks tab.
  3. Tap Share & connect > Screen sharing.
  4. Tap the Screen sharing switch to the ON position.
  5. Select a device to mirror your device's screen with.
  6. Follow any additional prompts.

Turn on/off Android Beam

Follow these steps to use Android beam.

Android version 8.0.0

  1. From any home screen, swipe left to locate and tap Settings.
  2. Select the Network tab and scroll to or tap Connected devices > Android Beam.
  3. Tap the Android Beam switch to turn on the feature.

Android version 7.1.2

  1. From any home screen, tap Apps > Settings.
  2. If using Tab view, select the Networks tab.
  3. Tap Share & connect.
  4. Tap the Android Beam switch to the ON or OFF setting.

Turn on/off NFC

Follow these steps to use NFC.

Android version 8.0.0

  1. From any home screen, swipe left to locate and tap Settings.
  2. Select the Network tab and scroll to or tap Connected devices > NFC slider to turn it on or off.
  3. If prompted via pop-up message, tap OK.

Android version 7.1.2

  1. From any home screen, tap Apps > Settings.
  2. If using Tab view, select the Networks tab.
  3. Tap Share & connect.
  4. Tap the NFC switch to the ON or OFF setting.

Read NFC tag

Follow these steps to read the NFC tag.

  1. From any home screen, tap Apps > Settings.
  2. If using Tab view, select the Networks tab.
  3. Tap Share & connect.
  4. Tap the NFC switch to the ON setting.
  5. Review the pop-up message about NFC, then tap OK.
  6. Tap the Tag reading switch to the ON setting.
  7. Hold the back of the phone against the other device.
