Learn how to customize text entry and default keyboard settings on the LG G6.

Change default keyboard

Android version 8.0.0

  1. From any home screen, swipe left to locate and tap Settings.
  2. Select the General tab or scroll to and tap System > Language & input.
  3. Tap Current keyboard > SELECT MORE.
  4. Select the keyboard you want to use and tap OK.

Tab view

  1. Tap Settings.
  2. Tap the General tab.
  3. Under 'KEYBOARD & INPUT METHODS,' tap Current keyboard.
  4. Tap SELECT MORE.
  5. Tap to select desired keyboard.

List view

  1. Tap Settings.
  2. Under 'PERSONAL,' tap Language & keyboard.
  3. Under 'KEYBOARD & INPUT METHODS,' tap Current keyboard.
  4. Tap SELECT MORE.
  5. Tap to select desired keyboard

Enter symbols & numbers

  1. Tap the smiley1# key.
  2. Tap the number and symbol keys as necessary.
  3. Tap Menu > Insert smiley to access emoticons.
  4. Tap the abc key to return to the alphabet keyboard.
