Emergency alerts

You can turn Emergency Alert messages on or off on your phone. Presidential are always on and cannot be turned off.

 

  1. From any home screen, tap Messaging.
  2. Tap the Menu icon with three dots at the top right.
  3. Tap Settings > Emergency alerts.
  4. Select or clear check boxes for the following options:
    • Presidential alerts
    • Imminent extreme alert
    • Imminent severe alert
    • AMBER alert
    • Public safety alerts
    • State/Local test alerts
    • Alert sound
    • Alert vibration
    • Sound and/or vibrate during calls

 

Incoming email

  1. From the apps list, tap Email.
  2. Tap the Menu icon with three dots at the top right.
  3. Tap Settings, then tap the email account.
  4. Adjust the following under 'NOTIFICATIONS':
    • Tap the New Emails slider to turn notifications on or off.
    • Tap Notification sound to change the alert tone.
    • Tap Sound with vibration to turn on vibration.

 

Ringtones

Ringtone for all calls

  1. From the apps list, tap Settings > Sound > Ringtone.
  2. Choose your ringtone, then tap OK.

 

Ringtone for calls from one contact

You cannot assign a ringtone to contacts stored on the SIM card or phone (device memory).

 

  1. From the apps list, tap Contacts.
  2. Tap desired contact.
  3. Tap the Pencil icon at the very top.
  4. If you don't see the Ringtone field, tap More > Ringtone.
  5. Tap Ringtone and choose your ringtone.
  6. Tap SAVE.
