Use these steps to use text to speech to have messages read out loud on the LG Aristo 2 PLUS.

Set up

  1. From any home screen, swipe left to locate and tap Settings.
  2. Select General tab or scroll to SYSTEM > Accessibilty.
  3. Under SERVICES, tap Select to Speak.
  4. Tap the switch to the ON or OFF setting.

TalkBack settings

  1. From any home screen, swipe left to locate and tap Settings.
  2. Select General tab or scroll to SYSTEM > Accessibilty.
  3. Under TYPE, tap Vision.
  4. Tap on the TalkBack text > tap the switch to the ON or OFF setting > tap Settings.
  5. Modify the following options:
    • Speech volume
    • Text to speech Settings
    • Verbosity
    • Use proximity sensor
    • Shake to start continuous reading
    • Vibration feedback
    • Sound feedback
    • Focus speech audio
    • Sound volume
    • Explore by touch
    • Automatically scroll lists
    • Single-tap activation
    • Show Context Menu as list
    • Launch TalkBack tutorial

Text to speech settings

  1. From any home screen, swipe left to locate and tap Settings.
  2. Select General tab or scroll to SYSTEM > Accessibilty.
  3. Under SERVICES, tap Select to Speak.
  4. Tap the switch to the ON or OFF setting. When turned ON, tap the speech bubble then tap or drag your finger over the text you want to be read. To stop the text to speech read out, tap anywhere on the screen.

  1. From any home screen, swipe left to locate and tap Settings.
  2. Select General tab or scroll to SYSTEM > Accessibilty.
  3. Under TYPE, tap Vision.
  4. Tap on the TalkBack text > tap the switch to the ON or OFF setting.
