Set up

  1. Check that Wi-Fi and Smartphone Mobile Hotspot are turned off.
  2. From any Home screen, tap the Apps icon.
  3. Tap Settings.
  4. Tap More.
  5. Tap Mobile network sharing.
  6. Tap Mobile Hotspot.
  7. If necessary, read message and tap OK.
  8. If desired, tap Manage users.
    1. Select to clear the Allowed users only bubble.
    2. Tap the Max connections field and select the desired setting.
  9. If desired, tap the Menu icon, tap Advanced, and select from the following options:
    • Hide SSID (on/off)
      • None
      • WPA2 (AES)
    • Wi-Fi frequency band selection
      • 2.4GHz
      • 5GHz
    • Wi-Fi channel
      • Auto
      • 1-11
    • Power mode
      • Turn off after 5 mins of activity
      • Turn off after 10 mins of activity
      • Always on


Turn on / off

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Apps icon.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap More.
  4. Tap Mobile network sharing.
  5. Touch and slide the Mobile Hotspot switch to turn it on or off.
