Learn how to block calls, set or cancel call forwarding, and manage caller ID and the call log on the HTC U11 life.

 

Block calls

  1. From the Home screen, tap the Apps icon.
  2. Tap People.
  3. Tap the Menu icon.
  4. Tap Manage contacts.
  5. Tap Blocked contacts.
  6. Tap the Add icon.
  7. Select one of the following options:
    • Choose From Contacts:
      1. Tap the contact to block.
      2. Tap Save.
    • Add Number:
      1. Enter the number to block.
      2. Tap OK.

Unblock calls

  1. From the Home screen, tap the Apps icon.
  2. Tap People.
  3. Tap the Menu icon.
  4. Tap Manage contacts.
  5. Tap Blocked contacts.
  6. Tap the Menu icon.
  7. Tap Remove block contacts.
  8. Select the desired contact(s).
  9. Tap Remove.

 

Call forwarding unconditional

Call Forwarding Unconditional (CFU) immediately forwards all calls to another phone number without allowing the device to ring. You cannot set call forwarding while Wi-Fi calling is on, the option will be grayed out.

  1. From the Home screen, tap the Apps icon.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Scroll to 'Phone' and tap Call.
  4. Tap Call Forwarding.
  5. Tap Always Forward.
  6. Enter the number you wish to forward to or +18056377249 to forward calls to voicemail.
  7. Tap Enable.

 

Call forwarding conditional

Call Forwarding Conditional (CFC) forwards incoming calls to another phone number if you do not or cannot answer them (no reply, busy, unavailable). Important: You cannot set call forwarding while Wi-Fi calling is on, the option will be grayed out.

  1. From the Home screen, tap the Apps icon.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Scroll to 'Phone' and tap Call.
  4. Tap Call forwarding.
  5. Select one of the following options:
    • Forward when busy
    • Forward when unanswered
    • Forward when unreachable
  6. Enter the number you wish to forward to or +18056377249 to forward calls to voicemail.
  7. Tap Enable.

 

Cancel call forwarding

  1. From the Home screen, tap the Apps icon.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Scroll to 'Phone' and tap Call.
  4. Tap Call forwarding.
  5. Tap Always forward.
  6. Tap DISABLE.

 

Caller ID settings

  1. From the Home screen, tap the Apps icon.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Scroll to 'Phone' and tap Call.
  4. Tap Additional settings.
  5. Tap Caller ID.
  6. Select one of the following:
    • Network default
    • Hide number
    • Show number

 

Reset call log

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Phone icon.
  2. Tap Story.
  3. Tap the Menu icon.
  4. Tap Remove call history.
  5. Tap the Menu icon, then tap Select all.
  6. Tap DELETE.
  7. Tap OK.

 

View call log

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Phone icon.
  2. Tap Story.
