Change default keyboard
HTC Sense keyboard
- From any Home screen, tap the Apps icon.
- Tap Settings.
- Scroll to and tap Language & keyboard.
- Tap HTC Sense Input.
- Tap Keyboard selection.
- Tap Keyboard types.
- Tap to select one of the available keyboards.
Enter symbols & numbers
HTC Sense keyboard - QWERTY
- Select any text entry field.
- Tap the 12# key to switch to numbers and symbols; tap the 1/2 key to switch between symbol keypads.
- Tap the ABC key to switch back to text entry
Text entry mode
HTC Sense keyboard - Predictive text mode
- When tapping letters to enter text in a text input field, the phone predicts the word.
- If the predicted word is the word you want, tap the space key and begin the next word or tap a selection to insert.
- Otherwise, continue entering the word you want or tap one of the other predictions.
HTC Sense keyboard - Speech-to-text mode
- Tap and hold the Microphone key.
- When the 'Speak now' window pops up, say the words and numbers you want.
- Tap the Keyboard icon to exit the speech-to-text mode.
HTC Sense keyboard - Traditional mode
- Separately tap each letter of a word.
- Tap the Space key between words.
Turn on / off haptic (vibration) feedback
HTC Sense keyboard
- From any Home screen, tap the Apps icon.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Language & keyboard.
- Select HTC Sense Input.
- Tap the Vibration feedback check box to turn it on or off.
